Everyone has a role to play to conserve biodiversity in Ontario and to set a path towards a resilient future for nature and people.The 2025 Ontario Biodiversity Summit: Our turning point for nature, brought people together to find common threads between different sectors, areas of expertise and knowledge systems and weave them together to build our turning point for nature. The Summit and its outcomes support implementation of Ontario’s Biodiversity Strategy and its 13 targets and 43 priority actions.It’s almost been 10 years since our first Summit took place in Niagara Falls in May 2015, with a theme of Protecting What Sustains Us. Our virtual summit in 2021 focused on Nature-based solutions for the 21st century. Both of these events inspired, enabled and engaged people from across Ontario to share knowledge and take action to protect and restore biodiversity.
